I met with Cerissa and Jamul just weeks before their wedding. They told me of the beautiful Belvedere Mansion they were to be married in and how Jamul’s family would be coming in from Mongolia to help them celebrate. Just days before the wedding, we got a big blizzard which threatened to keep some of the family from attending. In the end, it all came together to be a beautiful wedding surrounded by the people closest to them.
I was struck by the beautiful adornments of the Belvedere Mansion. It was filled with antique plates and stemware, and there were several murals painted on the walls. It reminded me a little bit of what I would imagine Mrs. Havasham living in. I loved it there!
Venue & Catering: Belvedere Mansion
Flowers: Green Cottage
Cake: Pastry Garden
Dress: Terry Jon
Shoes: BCBG

I loved they way they had every chair in the ceremony space decorated with a different colored tapestry.

Antique lace was a beautiful compliment to these delicate shoes.

Cerissa’s birdcage veil was gorgeous!

Cerissa’s beautiful bouquet was created by Green Cottage.

I loved the door moulding and antique paint.

The light was so soft and low in the sky. Perfectly warm.

Cerissa wore my snow boots into the field and then switched to her heels! They were troopers.

Jamul’s nephew and niece wore traditional Mongolian dress.

I love the vintage tea set.

And the antique stemware.

The evening was so romantic with a beautiful winter sunset.

Everyone had a blast. Jamul was quite the dancer and I love how he and Cerissa moved effortlessly together.

Congratulations, Cerissa and Jamul. Your wedding was the perfect way to start out 2010. I am honored to have been a part of it.

As I was looking through images from last year, I noticed a trend in bridesmaids’ dresses! See below!

Silky, flowing, knee length cocktail dresses in black were very popular. It is a great selection for the hot summer months, and your girls can wear them again and again!

Bright pastels were also popular. I love the contrasting bouquets!

2009 saw a lot of purple, lavender and violets! I love these light shades as well as the darker ones below.

Looking back through my 2009 weddings I was reminded of some of the beautiful hair styles my brides wore. I just had to share some of the great up-do’s with you! Enjoy!

Zena was simply gorgeous! Swooped to one side and pinned, her hair style was bold and feminine. I also adore her headpiece and how she wore it to the side. Pretty, pretty, pretty! View more pictures of Zena’s wedding Here.

Sophie looked so fresh and beautiful on her wedding day. Her curls were swept under and loosely pined for a natural looking up-do. She also wore a ribbon head band which was a perfectly unique way to pull her hair style together. My applause to Salon Elle for this lovely do! See more photos from Sophie’s wedding Here.

Jessica wore her hair in a classic, low tie-back and spiced this timeless look up with a floral embellishment. Oh, so adorable! See more pictures from Jessica’s wedding Here.

Kasia’s twisted and pinned curls created an intricate hair style that complimented the lace on her dress brilliantly. Polished and classy, it doesn’t get any better than that! See more photos from Kasia’s wedding Here.
The Wainwright House is one of my favorite venues in New York State and I am thrilled to share this hidden gem with you. What a beautiful location! Great scenery, incredibly hospitable staff, and calm, loving energy.
I asked Janice O’Brien, Director of Marketing and Special Events for the Wainwright House, to send a few words about the history of the house and their current goal/purpose.
“Wainwright House is located on five acres overlooking Milton Harbor in Rye, New York, an inlet of Long Island Sound. The sacraments of marriage fit perfectly into Wainwright’s House’s mission.
